Belen Market, Three River Cruise
My personal favorite

I will escort you on a 3 or 4 hour fascinating morning shopping spree to the Belen Market. Together we will choose the ingredients for our exotic culinary picnic lunch, like none you have ever had before. My boat, Dawn on the Amazon, will meet us at the bottom of the Belen Market in the Port of Venice. We will cruise upstream on the Itaya River, to a peaceful place that I know for our picnic. Then we will take a leisurely cruise past the floating village of Belen, Venice of the Amazon, down the Itaya in front of the city of Iquitos and her busy ports, past ships, boats of all sizes, full of bananas and charcoal, tugs, barges, colectivos, peque-peques, and fishermen in dugout canoes. We will see and photograph giant logs timbered from virgin rainforest, watch for pink dolphins at the confluence of the Itaya and the mighty Amazon, cruise downstream on the mightiest river on earth, to the Nanay River, with another good chance to see dolphins, up the Nanay to the Hunting and Fishing Club to tour one of the most beautiful, artistic boats in the entire Amazon watershed, and swim, canoe, or relax until near dark. I guarantee this to be a fascinating, full day of fun.
