Isabel Calderon and her USA VISA

Yes, the wife of our webmaster, Lalo Calderon, got her USA Immigrant VISA on her first visit to the U.S. Embassy in Lima, Peru and is now living in the United States of America. However, it was not with it's uphill battle. First she had to get her passport. Sounds simple? Not in a country where voting is mandatory. One time while she was living in Lima it came time to vote and her DNI had her Iquitos address. Fine number one, 132 soles! Then when she moved back to Iquitos it was time to vote again and yep! You guessed it, her address was in Lima. Fine number 2 and 3, both 132 soles each. And so it goes, surprises after surprises. And of course surprises cost money. Thanks to her husband, Lalo, and the support of his church they were able to battle all the demons of opposition and win the uphill battle.

Isabel says, "The interview itself was simple, with no problems, they only asked about 4 questions, and then they told me, "Your VISA is already approved." I waited only 3 hours and I thought it was going to take all day. What a happy day and a big relief after waiting three months for the appointment"
Isabel wishes to thank Jesus Christ for answering her prayers. She also wishes to thank her husband, Lalo Calderon, for never doubting even in the face of such opposition.

Isabel also wishes to thank Pastor Jose Fernandez and Christ's Church of the Valley Espaņol in San Dimas, California, USA, and LIFE Christian Fellowship Espaņol in Chino, CA for their support.

And finally, Isabel wishes to thank all the kind folks (Gringos) that live in Iquitos and hang out on the first block of Putumauyo.
Also a big thank you to Michael Collis "Mad Mick" who employes my husband for making these wonderful and informative web pages and to www.iquitostimes.com for their support!

Isabel flew out with her husband on the very next day and after a year and a half is living in their cute little house in the city of Chino, California, USA. along with their cute little daughter,   Melanie Belle Calderon,
We will be saving up funds so we can continue helping out the poor people who live in Leoncio Prado, Cuninico and Nueva Union along the Maraņon River in the Peruvian Amazon Jungle.

Isabel now has her Permanent Residence Card (Green Card)
Thank you Jesus!
